Much of the route of the railway, where urbanisation has not occured, can still be found.
The following modern aerial photograph shows the winding path from the semi-circular hedge pattern just down from the top right corner, located just outside the Highworth town, heading west then turning south down the left side of the image into the outer suburbs of Swindon.
